Mae gan aloion molybdenwm, fel metelau anhydrin, ystod tymheredd gweithredu o 1100 gradd i 3320 gradd. Mae ganddynt fanteision megis dwysedd isel, cyfernod ehangu thermol isel, modwlws elastig uchel, ymwrthedd ymgripiad tymheredd uchel da, a weldadwyedd. Fodd bynnag, maent yn gwanhau ar dymheredd isel ac yn arddangos ocsidiad difrifol ar dymheredd uchel.
